Sikh pilgrims from across Pakistan and various other countries are converging on Nankana Sahib as the 556th birth anniversary celebrations for the founder of the Sikh faith, Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji, commence today.

According to a report today, the devotees, known as Yatrees, are gathering to participate in the multi-day event honoring their first Guru. During their stay, the visiting pilgrims will undertake a spiritual journey to pay homage at several holy sites.

Their itinerary includes Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hassan Abdal, and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Narowal.

The principal ceremony commemorating the birth anniversary is scheduled for Wednesday, which will mark the culmination of the festivities at Gurdwara Janam Asthan.
