KARACHI: Karachi police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a seven-member gang of motorcycle lifters from Kharadar area of the city.
According to police sources, Kharadar police raided in Makar Para and arrested an active gang of motorcycle lifters. The arrested accused have been identified as Azhar Ali, Abdul Rahman, Hamad Shehzad, Geo Raj, Syed Huzaifa, Nouman and Muhammad Ali. Police also arrested a scavenger who was buying parts for stolen motorcycles.
The police have recovered six stolen motorcycles three chassis of motorcycles from the arrested accused. The arrested accused used to carry out motorcycle lifting incidents all over the city and used to sell parts of stolen motorcycles to Muhammad Ali alias Bhutto by opening them near Makar Para. Among the recovered motorcycles, FIR No. 118/2018 of motorcycle number KLL-8069 is registered in Bajram Section 381A at Methadar Police Station.
