The Senate has unanimously endorsed a resolution reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to its sovereignty, democratic principles, and a prosperous future.

The measure, introduced by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, vows to pursue sustainable progress, economic empowerment, and national cohesion. The resolution honors the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and pays tribute to those whose sacrifices led to Pakistan”s independence. It recognizes the armed forces and security agencies for their defense of the nation, honoring martyrs and veterans. The document also reaffirms dedication to parliamentary democracy, constitutional authority, and the rule of law.

Furthermore, the resolution expresses a commitment to peaceful coexistence, regional stability, and engagement with neighboring nations. It addresses shared global concerns such as climate change, economic disparities, terrorism, and public health crises, all while safeguarding Pakistan’s autonomy. The measure urges citizens, especially young people, to transcend personal and political divides and contribute to national development.

In a separate resolution, the Senate called on federal and provincial authorities to commemorate the 1500th Eid Milad-un-Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alhi Wasallam with extensive national programs, gatherings, media initiatives, welfare activities, and decorations on public and private structures. Introduced by Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui, the resolution stresses that all sectors, including educational institutions, businesses, and media outlets, should disseminate messages of peace and harmony.

The Senate expressed its determination to promote the teachings and traditions of Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Ala Alayhee Wa Ashabehi Wassalam. It appealed to the nation to observe Eid Milad-un-Nabi with reverence, unity, and solidarity.
