Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has issued a strong condemnation of recent terrorist attacks by “Fitnah al-Hindustan” in Balochistan, which included assaults on government officials’ homes and the looting of a bank in Surab district. He paid tribute to the bravery of Additional Deputy Commissioner Hidayatullah Baloch, who lost his life defending his community, stressing that such acts will not disrupt the nation’s peace.
Gilani highlighted the sacrifice of the martyred officer, asserting that his courage in the face of terrorism sets a significant example. The nation stands in solidarity with his family during this difficult time.
He emphasized that terrorism will not undermine the country’s security or morale, and clarified that “Fitnah al-Hindustan” holds no ties to any legitimate cause. The Senate Chairman reaffirmed that the country and its institutions are committed to eliminating terrorism and will continue their efforts until justice is served.
Expressing sympathy for the martyred officer’s family, Gilani called upon Allah for the officer’s elevation in ranks and strength for his grieving family.
