KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla said on Sunday that in July 2021, Rs761.539 million were collected from Karachi in the head of motor vehicle tax, while in the same head, Rs34.628 million were collected from Hyderabad and Rs10.030 million from Sukkur.

Chawla said in a statement that Rs5.147 million were collected from Shaheed Benazirabad in terms of motor vehicle tax while Rs7.714 million were collected from Larkana and Rs4.990 million from Mirpurkhas.

He said that Rs120 million were collected from Karachi and Rs5.363 million from Hyderabad in terms of property tax, while in this regard, Rs1.995 million were received from Sukkur and Rs0.906 million from Shaheed Benazirabad.

He said that Rs0.687 million were collected from Larkana and Rs0.680 million from Mirpurkhas in terms of property tax. The excise minister said he hoped to achieve tax targets easily. He asked the vehicle and property tax defaulters to deposit their taxes on time to avoid any untoward situation. Chawla asked the tax depositors to visit www.excise.gos.pk for their tax information and take advantage of online tax filing facility.
