Peshawar: Train service between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was suspended for the last three months has been restored as a train from Machh left for Peshawar Sunday.
The Jaffar Express consisting of 10 bogeys moved from Macch Railway Station. As many as 170 passengers were boarding the train. The rail service between Balochistan and KP was suspended when the Bolan rail bridge washed away during torrential monsoon rains.
According to Railway authorities, passengers would be transported from Quetta station to Machh station as the rail contact between Quetta and Machh is still suspended. The authorities further said that the repair work on Bolan rail bridge would be completed in January.
