Qasim Ali Shah resigns as Lahore Arts Council chairman

LAHORE: Lahore Arts Council chairman Qasim Ali Shah has resigned from his post, according to a report on Wednesday.

Qasim Ali Shah, who is known as a top motivational speaker, resigned from the post of chairman due to his personal reason and private engagements.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi offered Shah to continue his service for the promotion of art and culture. However, he refused to continue due to his private engagements.

The CM paid tribute to Shah for his valuable services. Naqvi said Shah played a central role in promotion of art and culture in the city and his service were commendable. On the other hand, Shah praised the CM who, he said, was a true lover of art and culture and always encouraged and guided him for the promotion of art and literature. Information Secretary Ali Nawaz Malik was also present.
