In a decisive intelligencebased operation, Punjab Police successfully rescued two individuals abducted through a honey trap in the Shahwali area Thurday, the Pubjab police said.

The operation unfolded in the Kacha area where police forces, after an intense exchange of fire, compelled the abductors to abandon their captives and flee.

Following the successful rescue, the police, led by DPO Farooq Amjad, continue to conduct search operations aiming to apprehend the fleeing criminals. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, acknowledged the efforts of the police team in executing the mission.

Authorities have issued a public advisory urging citizens to avoid entering the Kacha area for purposes such as purchasing goods, attending marriages, or conducting vehicle transactions to enhance personal safety.
