PTI backed candidate demands issuance of B-43-Quetta poll result on merit

QUETTA: PTI backed candidate Sardar Doda Khan Shahwani on Monday demanded of the authorities to issue PB-43-Quetta election result on merit; otherwise, all main highways of the province would be closed indefinitely for all kinds of vehicular traffic.

Addressing a press conference with Zulekha Aziz Mandokhail, General Secretary, PTI Women Wing, Balochistan at Quetta Press Club, he said that he had been informed by the Returning Officer of the constituency that he was leading his rival candidates with 3,000 votes, but result of PB-43-Quetta was not being issued despite lapse of considerable period of time.

He said that PTI’s supporters had blocked Quetta-Chaman highway near Almo Chowk, demanding issuance of results of NA-263-Quetta and PB-43-Quetta on merit. He called on the authorities to issue the result of PB-43-Quetta on merit; otherwise, all main highways of the province, including Balochistan-Sindh, Balochistan-Punjab and Balochistan-KPK, would be closed indefinitely for all kinds of vehicular traffic.
