PSO Expands Women’s Driving and Riding Training Program across Pakistan

Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has significantly broadened its women’s empowerment project, PSO Shaheen, initiating its second stage with a fourfold increase in capacity in Lahore and Islamabad. Building on the initial triumph, the scheme continues to furnish women with vital automobile and motorcycle operation proficiencies, bolstering their self-reliance and freedom of movement.

The educational courses have branched out to two additional metropolitan areas, Lahore and Islamabad, signifying a substantial enlargement of the program that originated in Karachi. In the first phase, a remarkable 82% of the enrolled females secured their driving permits and certifications, showcasing the program”s efficacy.

PSO Shaheen is dedicated to aiding women’s pursuit of enhanced mobility and self-assurance. Numerous graduates from the preceding stage have already employed their freshly acquired abilities to assist their households, establish small enterprises, and even fund their own two-wheelers.
