Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has announced that the government of Pakistan will incorporate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into national policies. This significant announcement was made at the conclusion of a two-day training session, “Prophetic Teachings on Peacebuilding, Social Reconstruction, and Reconciliation,” at the Nisar Fatima Institute of Seerat and Women’s Studies in Lahore.

More than 40 university faculty members participated in the workshop, organized by the International Islamic University Islamabad’s (IIUI) International Center of Excellence for Seerat Studies in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission and other organizations. Participants explored the application of prophetic teachings to contemporary challenges, including administration, education, and interfaith relations, and presented practical recommendations.

Reaffirming the government’s renewed commitment to promoting Seerat-e-Tayyiba (life of the Prophet) and Islamic sciences, Minister Iqbal stated that these recommendations would inform future strategies. Other notable speakers included legal expert Ahmar Bilal Soofi, who advocated aligning the legal system with the Prophetic example, and Vice Chancellors Muhammad Younis Rana and Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, who emphasized incorporating Seerat into educational and research endeavors.

IIUI Director General Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq outlined the workshop’s objectives, highlighting the importance of Seerat in addressing modern-day issues. Sahibzada Qamar-ul-Haq, President of Jamia Muhammadia Sharif, concluded the gathering, commending the scholars’ efforts and underscoring the significance of Seerat-based discourse in shaping Pakistan’s future.
