President Asif Ali Zardari offered prayers for the peace, unity, and security of the Muslim Ummah during a series of visits to revered shrines in the Iraqi capital.
According to a statement today, the president’s itinerary included paying respects at the sacred sites of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Imam Musa Kazim, and Imam Muhammad al-Taqi al-Jawad.
Additionally, the head of state made a stop at the mausoleum of Imam Abu Hanifa. While at the holy locations, President Zardari offered fateha and remarked on the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt, describing them as an everlasting fountain of knowledge, forbearance, wisdom, and ethical fortitude.
