Portuguese tourist’s body brought to Quetta hospital

QUETTA:The body of Portuguese tourist, who died in road accident near district Chagai, was shifted to the morgue of Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta on Friday.

According to reports, the body of Nuno Miguel Vilao Castanheria, 28, who died after motorcycle he was riding collided with Zambad Pickup on Quetta-Iran highway in district Chagai of Balochistan province on August 03, 2023, was shifted to the morgue of Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Quetta.

The victim, accompanied by two German tourists, Tomy Pankroz Linder and Nikolas Lang on their own bikes, was on his way to Quetta when his bike collided with Zambad pickup vehicle on Quetta-Iran highway in district Chagai.

Deputy Commissioner, Chagai, Hussain Jan Baloch said that motorcycle of Castanheria collided with Zambad Pickup near Yakmuch Talu area of Dalbandin in district Chagai, causing injuries to Castanheria. He said the injured was rushed to district headquarters hospital, Chagai where the doctors pronounced him dead. He said that driver and helper of the Zambad pick up had been arrested.
