PKMAP candidate blames rigging in PB-50 re-polling

QUETTA: Pushtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) on Wednesday rejected the re-polling conducted on the PB-50 Killa Abdullah and demanded finger verification of ballots through NADRA.

Addressing a press conference, PKMAP candiate Mirwais Khan Achakzai said that re-polling in the constituency was rigged through well thought planning, adding that prior to the re-polling, the authorities had been conveyed apprehensions regarding rigging, but instead of paying heed to the apprehensions, the polling staff were posted on likes and dislikes basis.

He said that polling staff of several polling stations were kidnapped, adding that provincial election commissioner, Chief Secretary Balochistan and other concerned authorities were informed about the issue regarding kidnapping of polling staff.

He said that according to form-45, his total votes were 66310 while the votes of his opponent Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai were 51909, however, he added that his victory was turned into defeat in form-47. Rejecting the result of re-polling, he demanded finger verification of ballots through NADRA.
