Former Azad Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan commended Pakistan’s strong response against the Israeli attack on Qatar. He highlighted Pakistan’s prompt action in supporting Qatar during the United Nations Security Council emergency meeting and effectively countering Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s statements regarding Pakistan. This move has elevated Pakistan’s stature regionally and globally.

Khan explained how the Israeli Prime Minister unsuccessfully attempted to use false claims about Pakistan to defend the attack on Qatar and the violation of international law. Pakistan’s representative to the UN effectively countered Israel’s stance. He expressed satisfaction with the Security Council’s condemnation of Israel, a notable shift from the US’s past practice of vetoing or blocking actions against Israel.

Khan emphasized Israel’s self-proclaimed immunity from international law and the apparent lack of accountability to the US. He noted emerging concerns within US political circles regarding Israel. After President Trump’s Gulf tour, the perception of enduring US security for Gulf countries fostered large-scale investments and commitments in the US. However, the attack on Qatar has damaged this trust.

Khan stated that this aggression has created unease in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and the entire Arab world, as Israel has threatened further attacks, possibly targeting Egypt due to its role in establishing peace in Gaza.

Khan questioned the US claim of being unaware of the Israeli attack, deeming it an intelligence failure if true. Conversely, Israeli intelligence accurately pinpointed the presence of Palestinian leader Khalil al-Hayya and the documents in his possession, including US ceasefire proposals for Gaza. Khan concluded that this incident demonstrates Israel’s resistance to peace in Palestine and rejection of any ceasefire until it achieves complete control over Gaza.
