Pakistan Justice and Democratic Party President, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, lauded the Pakistan Army for eliminating 35 Indian-backed extremist terrorists in Bajaur and Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also paid tribute to the 12 Pakistani soldiers martyred while confronting the terrorists.

Justice Chaudhry saluted the martyred soldiers, stating that the nation is proud of their sacrifice and stands with the army. He observed an increase in cross-border infiltration across Pakistan’s western border, creating instability in areas adjacent to Afghanistan. He urged Pakistan to take steps to prevent terrorism emanating from Afghanistan, including strengthening border security and targeted military operations to prevent the use of its territory against Pakistan.

Justice Chaudhry expressed confidence that the combined efforts of the armed forces and the people will foil hostile conspiracies against Pakistan. He predicted the decisive defeat of those who endanger national security.
