Pakistan’s Military Prepared to Counter All Threats Amid Evolving Warfare

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, has declared that the nation’s armed forces are fully prepared to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any threat.

His reassurance came while addressing military personnel after observing the high-intensity field exercise ‘Steadfast Resolve’ at Khairpur Tamewali. He underscored the necessity of maintaining optimal readiness to confront future battlefield requirements and security challenges, according to a report by MOIB today.

The Field Marshal highlighted that the character of warfare has evolved significantly, with technological progress driving this transformation. This evolution, he noted, dictates a substantial mental shift at all levels of command.

Field Marshal Munir stated that technological manoeuvres would eventually supersede physical ones, fundamentally changing how offensive and defensive operations are conducted. He confirmed that Pakistan”s Armed Forces are rapidly embracing and absorbing new technologies, with innovation, indigenisation, and adaptation being fundamental to this process.

During his visit, the military chief also inaugurated the ROHI eSkills Learning Hub, an initiative aimed at fostering digital skills and learning opportunities for students, particularly from Southern Punjab. He also opened the APS Abbasia Campus, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s commitment to quality education and character building.

Later, the Field Marshal toured the EME Regional Workshop, where he received a briefing on the maintenance regime for sustaining modern platforms through advanced technologies and other combat support measures.

Earlier, upon his arrival at Bahawalpur Garrison, he was received by the Commander of Bahawalpur Corps. The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha, paying tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the nation”s martyrs.
