Pakistan, UK Reaffirm Commitment To Enhanced Cooperation

Pakistan and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening their collaboration across various sectors, including politics, economics, climate change, and cultural exchanges. This commitment was made during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and the UK’s Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Middle East, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, Rt. Hon Hamish Falconer, at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) in London on Monday.

The two officials conducted a comprehensive review of bilateral ties and discussed regional and international affairs. Dar emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to economic reforms and shared the nation’s viewpoint on regional developments, particularly peace and stability in South Asia. He also underscored the significance of a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in line with UN Security Council resolutions.

Both leaders expressed contentment with the current collaborative efforts in areas of common interest. They emphasized the necessity of continued high-level interactions to maintain the existing momentum and explore new avenues for strategic partnership.
