Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a high-level meeting to review the law and order situation in the Kachho area, reiterating the government’s commitment to establishing lasting peace. The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Zia Hassan Lanjar, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, and DIG Larkana.

Interior Minister Zia Hassan Lanjar briefed the participants on the extensive operations conducted in the Kachho areas, as well as Ghotki and Shikarpur. He stated that the hideouts of 500 dacoits and facilitators were destroyed. Between January 2024 and 2025, law enforcement agencies killed 115 dacoits, injured 208, and arrested 582. Eight notorious gang leaders were also eliminated. These actions have significantly improved the law and order situation in the region. Out of 91 people kidnapped in 2025, 88 have been recovered, and authorities also rescued 287 victims of honey-trapping schemes. The Chief Minister stressed a zero-tolerance policy for kidnapping incidents and directed all Kachho police stations to remain vigilant. He also instructed the IG Police to ensure the complete elimination of dacoits and noted that highway robberies have been successfully curbed.
