Pakistan and Turkey have reiterated their unwavering support for Palestine as the humanitarian situation deteriorates and famine threatens the region.
This declaration of solidarity came during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The two officials met on the sidelines of the 21st extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.
Mr. Dar, communicating via his X (formerly Twitter) account, emphasized the critical need for immediate humanitarian aid and relief for Palestinians. He highlighted the deepening crisis and the impending threat of widespread hunger.
Beyond the Palestinian issue, the Pakistani Deputy PM also underscored the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and Turkey. He expressed optimism about enhancing the multifaceted cooperation between the two nations. The meeting reinforces the two countries” commitment to a close partnership across various sectors.
