Pakistan will host the Peacekeeping Ministerial preparatory meeting next week in collaboration with the Republic of Korea, as announced during a UN Security Council Briefing in New York by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad.
This meeting underscores Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to UN peacekeeping missions. Ambassador Ahmad highlighted Pakistan’s significant contributions to the future of UN peacekeeping and paid tribute to the 4,423 peacekeepers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, including 181 from Pakistan.
He emphasized the importance of honoring their memory, bravery, and service.
