Pakistan Signs OIC Labor Statute To Boost Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar today announced that Pakistan has signed statute of the Labour Center of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dar said that the signing took place on the sidelines of the 51st OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting in Istanbul.

He expressed satisfaction with the agreement, calling it a significant move towards enhanced collaboration between member states on labor issues, job creation, social safety nets, and human resource advancement.

The OIC Labour Centre Statute aims to improve coordination among member nations on labor-related challenges. The organization seeks to address issues like employment opportunities, worker protections, and skills development.

The signing of this statute marks a commitment from the OIC member states to work together on critical labor issues. This agreement is anticipated to facilitate a stronger collaboration platform between OIC nations on employment, social security, and human resource growth.
