Pakistan and Libya have agreed to bolster their defense collaboration and share technical knowledge to tackle rising security challenges in the region. This significant development emerged during a meeting between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan”s Chief of Army Staff, and Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The two military leaders deliberated on shared interests, the evolving regional landscape, security threats, and potential avenues for defense partnership. The agreement signifies a commitment to enhance military capabilities and address shared concerns.
Before the discussions, Lieutenant General Haftar paid tribute to Pakistan”s fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada. He received a formal welcome, including a guard of honor presented by a contingent of the Pakistan Army.
