Ambassador Misbah Khar, Special Envoy for the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), met with Jordanian Ambassador Maan Abdel Fattah Khreisat in Islamabad on Monday to discuss the upcoming inaugural session of the ISC. The conference, scheduled for November 11-12 in Islamabad, aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among parliamentary leaders on issues of peace, development, stability, and security.

Khar briefed Khreisat on the ISC’s objectives and highlighted the election of Pakistan Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani as the organization’s first president. She formally invited Jordanian leadership to participate in the inaugural session, themed “Peace, Development, Stability, and Security.”

Khreisat praised Pakistan’s initiative in establishing the ISC and pledged Jordan’s support. He emphasized the strong relationship between the two nations and expressed confidence in Pakistan’s leadership in this global parliamentary effort.

Khar thanked Khreisat for his support and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to bolstering parliamentary ties with Jordan. She expressed Pakistan’s desire to collaborate closely for the ISC’s success in advancing dialogue and peace worldwide. Tariq bin Waheed, Senior Director General (Protocol) of the Senate of Pakistan, also attended the meeting.
