The firstever UNICEFWHO Pakistan Vaccine Industry Consultation, with support from the Government of Pakistan, convened key stakeholders on Monday to enhance local vaccine production.

Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal emphasized the significance of the event, describing it as a pivotal moment for the country”s health sovereignty. “This isn’t just an event-it’s a turning point toward health sovereignty,” he articulated.

The consultation coincides with the launch of Pakistan’s nationwide polio campaign, which began today. Alishba K. Barech reflected on how a childhood experience in Quetta ignited her dedication to polio awareness and vaccine advocacy, underscoring the personal and national importance of the initiative.
