Pakistan Denounces Israeli Strikes on Iran, Says Attacks Violate UN Charter

Pakistan on Friday issued a strong condemnation of what it called “unjustified and illegitimate aggression” by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement stated that these military strikes not only infringe upon Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity but also blatantly violate the principles outlined in the UN Charter.

The attacks have drawn sharp criticism from Pakistan, which has expressed its unyielding solidarity with Iran, emphasizing that Iran’s right to self-defense is protected under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Pakistan described the strikes as severe provocations that pose a significant threat to the peace and stability of not just the region, but potentially beyond.

This situation has garnered concern regarding the potential escalation of conflict in the Middle East, with implications that could ripple outward, affecting global security dynamics. Pakistan has called upon the international community and the United Nations to take immediate action to halt the Israeli aggression and to hold the nation accountable for its actions that contravene international law.

The call to action stresses the urgency of restoring diplomacy and adherence to international legal standards to prevent further deterioration of regional stability. Pakistan’s firm stance highlights the broader international obligation to maintain peace and security by respecting sovereign rights and the legal frameworks that govern international relations.
