Pakistan, China Reaffirm Unbreakable Bond At PLA Anniversary

Pakistan and China reaffirmed their “unbreakable” strategic partnership during a ceremony at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday commemorating the 98th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA). Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), welcomed Jiang Zaidong, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Major General Wang Zhong, Defence Attaché, along with other Chinese officials and Pakistani senior military officers.

Munir congratulated the PLA on its anniversary, praising its contributions to China’s defense, security, and national development. He characterized the Pakistan-China relationship as “unique,” “time-tested,” and “exceptionally resilient” in the face of evolving geopolitical challenges.

The COAS emphasized mutual trust, unwavering support, and shared commitment as hallmarks of the strategic partnership, stating that the friendship has remained steadfast despite changing global dynamics. He described the Pakistan Army and the PLA as “true brothers-in-arms” whose partnership is crucial for regional stability and safeguarding mutual strategic interests.

Ambassador Zaidong thanked the COAS for hosting the event and acknowledged the Pakistan Armed Forces’ resolute fight against terrorism. He reiterated China’s unwavering support and commitment to its strategic alliance with Pakistan. The event underscores the deep military and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
