Pakistan, Bangladesh To Establish Interfaith Harmony Working Group

Pakistan and Bangladesh have decided to form a collaborative team to foster interreligious understanding. This agreement emerged from a discussion between Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf and a Bangladeshi delegation headed by Religious Affairs Advisor A.F.M. Khalid Hussain in Islamabad today.

Minister Yousaf suggested reciprocal trips for religious scholars and seminary pupils between the two nations. He emphasized the enduring bond rooted in shared history, Islamic legacy, societal principles, and literary traditions. Strengthened bilateral ties would also benefit the region, he added.

Hussain affirmed plans to enhance cooperation between the two countries” religious affairs ministries. The Bangladeshi representatives expressed condolences for the devastation caused by recent floods in Pakistan.
