Pakistan and Australia have agreed to explore new avenues of cooperation in the railway sector. Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins met with Federal Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi in Islamabad on Friday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in rail transport.
The discussions focused on potential technical partnerships, skills development initiatives, and the possibility of introducing tourism-focused rail routes. Minister Abbasi indicated that innovative collaboration opportunities for the advancement of Pakistan Railways were being evaluated.
High Commissioner Hawkins commended the advancements implemented within Pakistan Railways under Minister Abbasi’s guidance. Both officials reiterated their dedication to fostering stronger educational, cultural, and interpersonal connections between their nations.
