Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Emomali Rahmon held a significant meeting in Dushanbe, marking a renewed commitment to the enduring friendship and strategic alliance between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

The leaders underscored the importance of Central Asia connectivity through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), while calling for international accountability regarding India”s actions. Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan”s dedication to peace alongside its sovereign defense.

Both countries agreed to bolster collaboration in investment, education, culture, and IT sectors, with the CASA-1000 project highlighted as a key component for regional integration.

The meeting included comprehensive discussions on political, trade, economic, energy, defense, and security matters, reinforcing the multifaceted engagement between the two nations.
