A two-week joint counter-terrorism exercise involving the Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army of China, titled Warrior-IX, has concluded, marking a significant step in enhancing operational synergy between the armed forces of the two allied nations.
According to an official report today, the military drills, which commenced on November 28 and officially ended on Sunday, were specifically aimed at strengthening military-to-military cooperation and improving interoperability.
A ‘Distinguished Visitors Day’ ceremony was held at the National Counter Terrorism Center in Pabbi to mark the culmination of the exercise. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong graced the event as the Chief Guest, accompanied by a delegation of senior dignitaries from China.
The Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army attended the closing ceremony as the Guest of Honor.
During the event, the high-profile attendees received a comprehensive briefing on the scope, objectives, and overall conduct of the joint military maneuver.
