Pak-Afghan national highway blocked

In Chaman, tensions escalated as the Pak-Afghan national highway remained blocked for a second consecutive day on Sunday.

Protesters, led by the Perlut committee and supported by various parties, demanded the lodging of FIR against Frontier Corps (FC) authorities. The FC officials were accused of disrupting a protest sit-in against the single document regime policy for travel between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The blockade at the Kozak site halted all vehicular traffic, with protesters vowing to continue until their demands for justice are met.

Meanwhile, in Gulistan, residents urged the Anti-Narcotics Force, Balochistan, to take action against the cultivation of poppy crops in different areas of Tehsil Gulistan, district Killa Abdullah. The plea underscores the persistent challenges posed by drug-related activities in the region, prompting calls for decisive measures to combat illegal cultivation.
