Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar on Tuesday flayed the opposition for its perceived lack of economic readiness.
Addressing the media in Islamabad, Tarar stated that the forthcoming financial strategy would be unparalleled, emphasizing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s dedication to delivering relief to the populace. He expressed dismay over the opposition’s recent press event, criticizing them for their reliance on insufficient economic data and unfounded accusations.
Tarar lauded the opposition’s previous contributions during periods of Indian aggression but was critical of its current approach. He accused it of resorting to excuses due to a dearth of substantial criticism. The minister urged the opposition to be better equipped for the budget dialogue.
He further highlighted the nation’s journey from looming bankruptcy to achieving economic steadiness, countering the opposition’s earlier predictions of a financial meltdown in Pakistan. Tarar pointed to a reduction in inflation and a rise in overall growth, underscoring the government’s successes in bolstering the economy.
