KARACHI: The government has decided to tighten security on the premises of Karachi University (KU) after the recent incident of suicide bombing, according to a report on Friday.

According to the KU management, the security of foreigners including the Chinese has been tightened. The Chinese nationals have been prevented from moving without security. From now on, no one will be allowed to enter Karachi University without being thoroughly checked, and, a walkthrough gate will be installed at the entrance of the university.

Anyone carrying steel, iron and ammunition inside the university will be arrested, and, only two lanes will be reserved for the students and staff to enter the university. Police and Rangers will also be deployed on the premises of the university, and, check posts will be set up at important places in the university.
