In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah has launched a scathing critique of the BJPled Indian government, labeling it as antiMuslim.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a public rally in Mendhar, Poonch, Omar Abdullah emphasized the absence of a Muslim minister in the current BJPled Indian government, despite Muslims making up 14 percent of the country’s population.

‘This is the first government since Independence that lacks Muslim representation. The Home Minister, who seeks votes from Muslim communities in Jammu and Kashmir, must be asked why we have no voice in the central government,’ he stated.

‘How can we support a party that locks our mosques, demolishes Muslimowned shops in Uttar Pradesh, and instructs our girls to remove their veils to attend school?’ he questioned.

Omar Abdullah also expressed confidence in the eventual restoration of special status and statehood for IIOJK. ‘Over the past decade, we have witnessed significant changes. We were once a state with our own flag and constitution. Now, Ladakh has been taken from us, and we find ourselves without representation. However, change is possible. What transpired on August 5, 2019, was not the will of God; it was a conspiracy orchestrated by Delhi. One day, we will reclaim our rights,’ he asserted.
