The chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday declared that raising awareness of honesty and integrity among the younger generation is a national responsibility, addressing a special session held for children from Pakistan Sweet Home at the bureau”s headquarters.
The informative event was organized to honor the youngsters following their participation in an Anti-Corruption Awareness Walk arranged by NAB Rawalpindi a day earlier. The session was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Chairman NAB Sohail Nasir, Prosecutor General NAB Syed Ehtesham Qadir Shah, and other senior officers.
In his address, NAB Chairman Lt Gen (R) Nazir Ahmad praised the children for their spirit and discipline during the anti-corruption drive. He emphasized the critical importance of hard work in education, the adoption of high moral values, and the maintenance of a positive character for their personal and national development.
The chairman expressed that the presence of the young attendees had enhanced the dignity of the institution, noting that the awareness campaign would have been incomplete without their involvement. He reiterated that the bureau will continue to organize activities across Pakistan to promote transparency and awareness among the nation”s youth.
Zamurd Khan (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), Chief Operating Officer of Pakistan Sweet Homes, also spoke at the ceremony. He described his work with the institution as an important mission focused on both the education and training of the children, expressing confidence that they would guarantee a bright future for Pakistan.
The NAB Chairman directly encouraged the children, assuring them they were not alone. “You are our children; our future leadership will emerge from among you,” he stated, urging them to remain positive about the country”s prospects and hopeful that Pakistan would soon become a strong economic and developed nation.
The session, which included discussions and a question-and-answer segment, concluded with the Chairman distributing gifts among the children.
