Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq informed the National Assembly regarding the prolonged absence of Member National Assembly (MNA) Sheikh Waqas Akram.

Ayaz Sadiq told the House that Waqas Akram has been absent for forty consecutive days without any formal leave.

He referred to Rule 44(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007, under which the Speaker is required to inform the Assembly of such prolonged absence.
