Marri seeks announcement of judgment in PTI foreign funding case

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Saftey and Central Information Secretary of PPP-P Shazia Atta Marri on Wednesday urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to announce its long delayed verdict in the prohibited foreign funding case against the Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf.

She said in a statement that ECP should not delay in the announcement of judgment on PTI foreign funding case. Marri questioned that why was Imran Khan running away to face the foreign funding case? “The issue of funding from prohibited accounts is causing chaos and unrest in the country,” she added.

The PPP MNA said PTI chief Imran Khan was exerting pressure on ECP to influence the foreign funding case. While asking question from PTI, she said that if Imran Khan is not a theif, then why do they take injunctions from the courts?

She said: “BRT, Malam Jabba, billion tree project were mega corruption scams of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s regime and Imran Khan is playing the character of noisy thief.”
