KARACHI: Central Information Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians and Member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri said Monday that non-supply of gas to industries in the country was the height of incompetence of PTI-led government. She said in a statement that emerging gas crisis during summer season was the result of bad economic policies of Prime Minster Imran as the people were also facing difficulties due to severe load shedding in the country on other side.
Marri said that scrapping Pak-Iran gas pipeline project was like enmity with the country’s people, former President Asif Ali Zardari introduced great development projects like economic corridor project of Gwadar and Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline during his government. She said the decisions regarding foreign policy of the country was discussed and decided by the Parliament during Asif Ali Zardari’s regime. She maintained that former President Asif Ali Zardari empowered the parliament and made the country independent and nowadays, our country was in trouble because of ‘selected’ government of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf.
