According to data released by the Provincial Rain and Flood Emergency Monitoring Cell, Sindh’s irrigation system is handling substantial water inflow, with Guddu, Sukkur, and Kotri barrages experiencing high volumes. Guddu Barrage recorded an inflow of 318,229 cusecs and an outflow of 303,877 cusecs. Sukkur Barrage reported an inflow of 285,487 cusecs and an outflow of 234,717 cusecs. Kotri Barrage witnessed an inflow of 273,844 cusecs and an outflow of 244,739 cusecs. Inflow at Trimmu has reached 550,965 cusecs.

Represented by Zubair Channa, the Sindh Irrigation Department emphasized continuous monitoring of water flow at the barrages. Officials assured the public that Sindh’s barrages and river embankments are robust and have been repaired using modern techniques. 102 previously identified vulnerable locations across the province have been specifically improved and strengthened. As a precautionary measure, personnel, machinery, and resources have been deployed at these sites. Continuous monitoring is underway to address any emergencies, ensuring public safety and demonstrating the Sindh government’s preparedness for any potential crisis.
