Hyderabad: The court of additional judge Sehwan announced verdict in Tania Khaskheli case and awarded life imprisonment to the killer Khano Nohani.

The 10th grade student Tania was shot dead at her home in Jhangar Baajara, a rural town of Jamshoro district when she refused to marry accused Khano, an influential landlord, according to information by Pasban Democratic Party (PDP), which on the instructions of their Chairman Altaf Shakoor provided legal assistance to the bereaved family.

The case was decided after five years and six months. When the verdict was announced Dua Khaskheli, younger sister of Tania, PDP Hyderabad chapter president Arshid Arain and his wife and advocate Samad Khaskheli were present.

Dua Khaskheli talking to the media said after five long years we are doled out justice, but it is not a complete justice as the killer should have been hanged. She thanked PDP Chairman Altaf Shakoor and his team for their continuous support during the long proceedings. She said earlier her mother Late Khursheed Khaskheli waged a long struggle to get the killer of her daughter punished.

Arshid Arain on the occasion said that the accused had got strong support of influential politicians. He said to rid Sindh of cruel feudal lords in the mission of his party. He urged the masses of Sindh to support his party, saying they would not disappoint them.
