Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Unveils Ambitious Good Governance Roadmap

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the Good Governance Roadmap, aiming to revolutionize governance, development, and security in the province.

The roadmap, inaugurated by Gandapur on Tuesday, serves as a comprehensive framework to align government initiatives with public expectations, focusing on service delivery, institutional performance, and governance reforms.

The roadmap outlines strategic goals for the next two years, emphasizing improvements in health, education, economy, and social protection. In health, plans include upgrading 250 health centers and ensuring 24/7 maternal services. Education targets aim to halve the number of outofschool children and outsource 1,500 underperforming schools. Economic growth will be supported by three new economic zones and upgraded technical training institutions.

Security measures will be enhanced through a Provincial Action Plan, while smart development focuses on completing mega projects and promoting investment. The roadmap also highlights initiatives in agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, and housing, such as planting orchards, starting the D.I. Khan Peshawar Motorway, and developing over 50 new tourist centers.

Digital transformation is a key aspect, with plans to provide more than 100 online services via the Dastak Portal. Institutional reforms will be monitored through a performance dashboard, facilitating a meritbased reward and punishment system. Continuous review and monitoring will ensure effective implementation, with quarterly meetings at the Chief Minister”s Secretariat to address progress and challenges.
