The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, has said that the Kashmiri people will never accept the division of Kashmir.

In a statement today, he said that no matter how many tactics Modi uses to resolve the Kashmir issue, the Kashmiri people will fail all of his malicious plans.

He said, “Modi has crossed all limits of cruelty in occupied Kashmir, but I send a message to the people of occupied Kashmir that every child of Azad Kashmir stands with them in their struggle, and our struggle will continue until the liberation of occupied Kashmir.”

Chaudhry further said that at present, a reign of terror and oppression prevails in occupied Kashmir, and the freedom movement is going through its most critical phase. The hopes and aspirations of the oppressed people of Kashmir are tied to our efforts.

He said: “We must intensify our efforts from the base camp of freedom to highlight the Kashmir issue internationally, especially since August 5, 2019, when Modi’s government revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and took steps to eliminate the Kashmir issue and annex the region.”

“India is altering the demographic makeup of occupied Kashmir by settling non-resident Hindus in the region. In such circumstances, we must expose these illegal actions and heinous atrocities by India at both national and international levels and give a strong response to Modi.”

He urged the lawyers of the District Bar Association of Kotli, along with the entire legal community of Azad Kashmir, to raise their voices to highlight the Kashmir issue and speak out against the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

On this occasion, the President of the District Bar Association Kotli, Advocate Chaudhry Razaq, also addressed the gathering.
