A conference organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to commemorate “Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day” reiterated the resolve that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will bear fruit and the goal of accession to Pakistan will be achieved. Participants emphasized the historical significance of the resolution for Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan. A large number of people from different walks of life participated in this event, titled “Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Resolution and Our Responsibilities”.
The conference was attended by Minister for Liberation Cell, Ms. Imtiaz Naseem, Minister for Rehabilitation, Javed Iqbal Budhanovi, Member National Assembly, Fathullah Kaka Khel, Senator Dinesh Kumar, Gilgit-Baltistan government spokesman, Faizullah Farooq, and other political and social leaders.
In her address, Ms. Naseem highlighted the importance of the resolution for accession to Pakistan passed by Kashmiri elders on July 19, 1947. She mentioned holding events across Azad Kashmir and Pakistan to mark the day, as directed by Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq. Ms. Naseem praised the performance of the Pakistan Army in Operation Gibraltar and paid tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. She expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will lead to the desired outcome of accession to Pakistan.
The Minister urged world powers to take notice of the Indian Army’s actions in occupied Kashmir and play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue. She said that the sacrifices made will not go in vain and Kashmiris will achieve their goal. Ms. Naseem commended the Pakistani media’s response to Indian media reporting on Kashmir and expressed pride in the Pakistan Armed Forces. She concluded her address by expressing hope for the resolution of the Kashmir issue and its accession to Pakistan.
