Karachiites got a pleasant respite from the intense heat on Saturday as the city experienced light to moderate rainfall under overcast skies throughout the day.
A light drizzle started early Saturday morning in several districts, turning into heavier showers later in the day. Rainfall was recorded in II Chundrigar Road, Old City Area, Malir, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Safoora Goth, Qayumabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Surjani Town, North Karachi, and other areas.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted overcast weather for Karachi on Sunday as well. This spell of rain, driven by westerly winds, is expected to continue until the evening of June 29.
Although the actual temperature of the city was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, it felt like 35 degrees Celsius due to humidity.
