JUI to Participate in Azad Kashmir Assembly Actions, Membership Drive Launched

Jamiat UlemaeIslam (JUI) Jammu and Kashmir is actively preparing for the upcoming elections in Azad Kashmir, including the constituencies for migrants. A key objective for the party is safeguarding the ideological principles of the nation through parliamentary politics. A comprehensive membership drive is underway towards this goal.

JUI leaders Maulana Maroof Ahmed, Central Election Secretary, and Maulana Qari Muhammad Jahangir Naqshbandi, Assistant Election Secretary, conveyed this message during review meetings in Sudhanoti, Kahuta, Bagh, and Rawalpindi. They emphasized the historical role of Ulema (religious scholars) in parliament, highlighting their influence in legislation according to the principles of the Quran and Sunnah. They cited the elimination of Qadianism in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan as a significant achievement of Ulema’s parliamentary involvement.

The leaders outlined JUI’s significant contributions to Islamic legislation in Azad Kashmir, including the establishment of the state judiciary, the Mufti system, Quranic education, and the Sharia appellate bench. They reiterated the party’s unwavering commitment to the democratic process, emphasizing the consensus among the public and Ulema regarding parliamentary participation.

The ongoing membership drive encourages the participation of all citizens. Planned visits to other districts aim to raise awareness about the party’s objectives and attract more Kashmiris to JUI Jammu and Kashmir. The party claims to be the largest religious and political organization in the country with widespread support from Ulema, and its membership system is transparent and democratic.

JUI’s central aim is to unite Muslims under the guidance of UlemaeIslam, advocating for the establishment and propagation of Islam. Protecting Islamic principles, the Arabian Peninsula, and Islamic symbols are key priorities. The organization aims to guide Muslims in various aspects of life-political, religious, economic, financial, and national administration-according to the Quran and Sunnah. Promoting a comprehensive Islamic education system that fosters piety, accountability, adherence to Islamic principles, and the practice of “enjoining good and forbidding evil” is among its core values.

The party’s platform focuses on protecting Islam and the finality of prophethood through the constitution. It endorses the governance of the KhulafaeRashideen (rightly guided caliphs) and Sahaba (companions of the Prophet) as a standard for Islamic governmental structure. The manifesto also supports a unified, independent, and complete Islamic education system while maintaining the autonomy of religious seminaries.
