Islamabad Police Arrest 24 Criminal in Major Crime Crackdown

In a strategic operation over the past 24 hours, Islamabad Police on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended 24 individuals involved in a range of criminal activities, enhancing safety across the federal capital. October 15, 2023.

Teams from the Ramna, Shalimar, Tarnol, Shams Colony, Kirpa, Sihala, and Shahzad Town police stations captured 18 suspects engaged in drug trafficking and illegal weapons possession.

During these operations, law enforcement officials confiscated 2,718 grams of heroin, 1,235 grams of hashish, 90 intoxication pills, 20 wine bottles, and 10 pistols along with ammunition. Additionally, a targeted campaign focusing on capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of six more individuals.

Under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the police force remains dedicated to combating crime, ensuring public safety, and maintaining order in the region. The police reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding residents and emphasized that any disruption to public peace will not be tolerated.

The public is encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar15” to foster collaboration in crime prevention. The Islamabad Capital Police reiterated its goal of eradicating crime through community cooperation.
