Interior Minister visits injured police constable at PIMS

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Thursday to inquire about the health of constable Jafar Jahangir, who was injured in a recent armed encounter with dacoits.

During his visit, the Interior Minister met with the injured constable and expressed his best wishes for his swift and complete recovery. Mohsin Naqvi appreciated constable Jafar’s courage and high morale, praising his bravery in the line of duty.

He issued strict instructions to ensure the constable receives the best possible medical treatment, emphasizing, ‘No effort should be spared in providing him with the finest care.’ He assured the injured constable, ‘We all stand with you and pray for your early recovery.’

Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi lauded the Islamabad Police personnel for bravely confronting the criminals. He also paid rich tribute to the martyred Assistant SubInspector (ASI) Sudheer Ahmed Abbasi, who lost his life in the incident on Wednesday.

‘We salute the sacrifice of Shaheed ASI Sudheer Abbasi. He was a professional and fearless officer,’ said Naqvi. He further assured that all necessary support would be extended to the family of the martyred officer, stating, ‘The family of Shaheed Sudheer Abbasi will be fully taken care of.’

The Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, and other senior police officials were also present during the visit.

It is worth mentioning that the tragic incident occurred last day when dacoits opened indiscriminate fire, resulting in the martyrdom of ASI Sudheer Abbasi and injuries to constable Jafar Jahangir.
