The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has raised serious concerns over the humanitarian impact of India’s decision to revoke visas for Pakistani citizens.

The abrupt policy change has left numerous individuals, including patients with critical health conditions, in a dire situation. Many of these vulnerable individuals were forced to return to Pakistan before completing their medical treatments.

Reports have also emerged of families being torn apart, with children tragically separated from one of their parents due to the sudden visa cancellations. The deadline for crossing through the Wagah-Attari border was April 30, 2025, and several Pakistani nationals are now allegedly stranded at Attari.

In response to the pressing concerns, the Ministry’s Spokesperson reassured that Pakistan remains committed to facilitating the return of its citizens. Should Indian authorities permit, the Wagha border is ready to welcome back Pakistani nationals. The border crossing will continue to be accessible for Pakistani citizens in the future.
