India Must Cease Misinformation Campaign Against Pakistan: Sardar Masood Khan

Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and former Pakistani Ambassador to the US, Sardar Masood Khan, has termed India’s propaganda against Pakistan’s strategic initiatives as baseless and hypocritical. He stated that India must cease its misinformation campaign against Pakistan, which stems from India’s anxiety over strengthening US-Pakistan relations. Mr. Khan referenced the fluctuating history of US-Pakistan relations but emphasized the current trajectory towards a strong strategic partnership based on mutual respect, regional cooperation, and shared objectives. He explained, “Despite past hiccups, we have consistently recalibrated our interests. The US is currently improving its relations with both India and Pakistan through balanced policies, which is a positive step.”

He highlighted the post-May 2025 trajectory of the Indo-Pak conflict, US mediation, and ceasefire initiatives, and underscored Pakistan’s responsible warfighting behavior, which was lauded by the US. He affirmed, “We valued and welcomed US engagement.” Mr. Khan deemed the White House meeting between President Trump and Army Chief General Asim Munir significant, stating that hosting a foreign military leader symbolizes the strong bond and trust between the two countries.

He warned, “Given India’s aggressive regional posture, its command and control framework is a global concern.” He ridiculed the notion of Pakistan posing a threat to the US, especially considering the large, peaceful Pakistani-American diaspora.

Mr. Khan concluded that the current regional landscape favors Pakistan militarily, economically, and commercially, with its strategic importance and diplomatic approach gaining international recognition. Conversely, India’s aggressive and misleading campaigns have isolated it.
